Just Didnt Work For Our 8 Year OldNov 23, 2011
By christy216 We have been giving our 8 year old some type of fish oil supplement for about 6 months. We do this because he sometimes has a problem staying focused and getting easily distracted at school. This product came highly recommended by several friends whose children were also taking this. I even spoke with a 15 year old who takes this powder and she was explaining to me how she could tell a difference after being on it for 3 days. (She was able to focus in school better) Our son was on this for about 10 days and we had to take him off of it. The teacher said she noticed a difference in his actions - not paying attention at all, being disruptive by talking, whistling, singing, etc....We put him back on the fish oil he was on before and he started getting "green" again in class...meaning he listened better and followed classroom rules. Not for sure why it didn't work for him, but as I said before i heard from friends and read reviews on the internet before purchasing this and everything I came across was all positive. We mixed the powder with water at first, and then swapped to orange juice for a few days due to the bitter taste, then back to water in case it was somehow diluting the powder before it could work in his system.
